Bursa Malaysia led ASEAN in IPO activity with 36 listings that raised RM5.4 billion in the first half of 2026.
The IPOs, spread across the Main, ACE and LEAP markets, added RM26.1 billion in market capitalisation during the six months ended 30 June.
Bursa Malaysia raised its 2026 IPO market capitalisation target to RM34 billion from RM28 billion, citing its first-half performance and current listing pipeline.
The exchange operator also reported a 15.2% increase in profit after tax, zakat and minority interest to RM144.6 million, from RM125.5 million a year earlier.
Operating revenue rose 19.6% to RM411.7 million, driven mainly by stronger securities trading activity.
Operating expenses increased 21% to RM229 million due to higher staff costs and regulatory fees.
Bursa Malaysia is also upgrading its securities trading infrastructure to Bursa Trade Securities 3.
The exchange continued efforts to improve regional market connectivity through its partnership with Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing.
Its board declared an interim dividend of 16.5 sen per share, amounting to about RM133.5 million.
